Job Overview

This position is located at the Southern University-Baton Rouge, where you will have the opportunity to provide secretarial support for a high-level manager or low- to mid-level administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to requests for information and interpret department rules and regulations.
  • Compose and type correspondence involving complex, sensitive, and non-routine matters.
  • Represent supervisor in various matters, providing input, and exercising signature authority.
  • Serve as liaison between supervisor and staff members.
  • Assess importance of issues or conflicts, and brief supervisor.
  • Compile and type special reports by selecting relevant information from various sources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need three years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty. Alternatively, training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $31,124 - $56,764, based on the provided salary range of $2,602.00 - $4,682.00 monthly.
