Bartender (Tiny Boxwoods Houston) - Hospitality Expert

Job PurposeAs a Bartender at Tiny Boxwoods, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing a genuine sense of hospitality to our guests. You will be passionate about our coffee program, spirits, and wine, and will strive to exceed our guests' expectations with perfect service.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all guests feel welcome and valued.
- Prepare and maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of our food and beverage menus, including recipes and beverage lists.
- Take orders, manage timing of course delivery, and provide outstanding full-service to guests throughout their meal.
- Monitor quality control and guest satisfaction, making adjustments as needed to ensure a positive experience.
- Utilize Point of Service (POS) system to enter orders, manage cash handling, and process credit card payments.
- Follow recipes to maintain consistency, and perform minimal food preparation, including cleaning and cutting of fruit.
- Serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Participate in team efforts, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to company standards, expectations, and policies, performing other duties as assigned.
- TABC Certified
- Texas Food Handlers certificate
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to memorize recipes and beverage lists
- Flexible availability in scheduling
- Capacity to multitask
- Ability to work as part of a team
The incumbent will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, interacting with guests, kitchen staff, and other team members. Potential hazards include cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical RequirementsThe incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods, talk, and hear. This position is very active, requiring the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and move constantly in the restaurant.
