We are in search of a seasoned Engineering Program Manager to oversee software release management and ensure the quality of releases for the Private Cloud Compute software that underpins Apple Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement processes and best practices to create, build, qualify, and deliver high-quality software to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage and communicate program/release timelines with clear dependencies, fostering alignment across various teams.

• Ensure timely development and delivery by establishing checkpoints and adjusting plans as necessary.

• Identify obstacles to release, collaborate with teams to achieve prompt resolutions, and oversee the overall change control processes.

• Provide transparent, timely, and objective communication, including updates on program status and critical issues to the executive team.

This role demands accountability for successful outcomes rather than task-based activities.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Over 8 years of experience in technical program/project management for software or software/hardware products.
• Proven track record of orchestrating the delivery of multiple significant client/server software products under tight deadlines, managing multiple work streams across a large organization.
• In-depth understanding of testing/qualification, build, and release processes for complex software.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, suitable for all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills.

Key Qualifications:
• Comprehensive understanding of Apple's processes for operating system software planning, development, build & integration, qualification, and release.
• Ability to facilitate and drive technical discussions: requirements definition, architecture/design, design trade-offs, issue resolution, and progress tracking.
• Technical proficiency in cloud architecture, development and deployment, databases, build & release systems, with bonus points for prior programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in technical program/project management for software or software/hardware products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the delivery of significant client/server software products under strict timelines, coordinating multiple work streams across a large organization.
• Detailed understanding of testing/qualification, build, and release processes for sophisticated software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of an organization.
• Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or extensive relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
