Job Title: Scientific Programmer III

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly experienced remote Scientific Programmer III to join our Cloud Services practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in migrating scientific applications to a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop automation code for CI/CD tools such as GitLab Runner
  • Use Python to develop programs and docker containers and Kubernetes using CI/CD pipelines
  • Coordinate with users on Jira and Confluence project setup and customization
  • Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and engineers to ensure seamless deployment and integration of Kubernetes-based applications
  • Create and maintain robust documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues occurring along the CI/CD pipeline to maintain smoother operations
  • Research, design, deploy, provision, and document new technologies implemented within the environment
  • Implement modern ground systems and applications and underlying technology stacks
  • Participate with the Information Security partners and implement cybersecurity updates to the system
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines
  • 4-6 years experience migrating scientific applications from on-premise systems to a Cloud environment
  • Demonstrated experience programming in Python and experience with docker containers and Kubernetes using CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience working in an agile/scrum team
  • Experience building and leveraging GitLab runners
  • Experience with code-defined Infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD
  • Experience working with Cloud Service Providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platforms
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments leveraging DevOPS principles and utilizing a CI/CD pipeline
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Federal government experience
  • 2+ years' experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

This position requires a security clearance. The base salary range for this position is: $111,447.07 - $152,559.89.
