Job Summary:
PeaceHealth is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will work closely with our professional nursing personnel to provide high-quality patient care. Your duties will include assisting with direct patient care, performing basic technical skills, and maintaining unit supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the CNA licensure.
- Perform basic technical skills, including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming and dressing, toileting assistance, eating and hydration.
- Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
- Document relevant patient care data.
- May provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility, preferably as a CNA.
- Credentials: Certified Nurse Assistant - Washington, Basic Life Support.
Working Conditions:
- Lifting: Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices.
- Fine motor skills: Ability to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
- Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force.
Environmental Conditions:
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles.
- Ability to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
