This role is essential for managing the scheduling and screening of requested tests, MRI scans, and minor procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate data entry and addressing patient requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong verbal communication skills to foster cooperative relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in navigating office software systems, with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Demonstrated data entry skills with attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Position requires manual dexterity for operating office equipment such as keyboards, calculators, and telephones.
  • Ability to stoop and bend to access files and supplies, along with mobility for completing errands.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing computer tasks and answering phone inquiries.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other office machinery for prolonged durations.
  • Physical capability to lift and move office supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as necessary.
  • Work environment is primarily office-based with moderate exposure to communicable illnesses.
  • Requires a high level of accuracy and speed in task execution.

Qualifications
Education: A background in medical scheduling is preferred.
Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical practice environment, ideally within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience using medical software is advantageous.
