Client Overview:
Our client, a leading international chemical company, is seeking skilled Laboratory Technicians to join their team. With a strong presence worldwide, they operate in three business areas: Adhesive Technologies, Beauty Care, and Laundry & Home Care. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$21/hr - $23.50/hr
Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technicians will be responsible for preparing, running, and analyzing consumer goods performance, as well as conducting stability testing. This is a long-term temporary role that requires attention to detail and the ability to follow strict methodologies. The successful candidate will support Senior Scientists and have the opportunity to build upon their current skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Senior Scientist in sample preparation, test running, and lab cleanup and management.
  • Calibrating and testing using various analytical instrumentation, including GC, ICP, and FTIR, as well as performing wet chemistry work such as titrations, dilutions, and extractions.
  • Troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
  • Identifying trends and patterns in analytical data.
  • Assisting with inventory, data entry, and lab organization.
  • Entering data using various systems, including Excel and LIMS.
  • Preparing basic reports.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with GC, ICP, IC, SEM, FTIR, or related equipment in a professional setting.
  • Experience from academia may also be accepted if the candidate has a strong knowledge base.
  • Experience with pH meters is required.
  • Strong wet chemistry techniques, including filtration, dilution, extraction, and titration.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for Chemistry.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
