Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our Caleb Brett team in Ferndale, Washington.

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Supervisor will oversee the routine analysis, testing, and handling of samples, ensuring accurate and timely collection and reporting of information to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate, monitor, and enforce laboratory safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Organize and prioritize laboratory work.
  • Assist in investigations of discrepancies to resolve problems with clients and inform Management of required corrective action.
  • Maintain communication with clients and Management regarding status of samples.
  • Oversee activities of shipping, receiving, sample retention, and sample disposal.
  • Provide objective input into Technicians' performance reviews.
  • Assist in training efforts of the Company.
  • Maintain awareness of abilities and personality of each technician.
Requirements:

The Laboratory Supervisor is expected to be competent in the routine operation of a petroleum testing laboratory, with at least 1 year of practical laboratory experience and a high school education.
