Since its inception in 1984, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute has established a national reputation for excellence. With a network of over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across nearly 100 locations, we are committed to delivering exceptional cancer care through innovative clinical research, advanced technologies, and state-of-the-art treatments.

Recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award, FCS provides patients with access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida.

Our patients benefit from pioneering therapies in a community setting and may participate in national clinical research studies of new drugs and treatment protocols.

In the past five years, the majority of new cancer medications approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials involving FCS prior to their approval.

Through our collaboration with Sarah Cannon, we are among the largest clinical research organizations in the United States, often leading the nation in initiating research studies and providing innovative therapies to patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Nurse Specialist assists physicians in the care and education of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and conditions effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, along with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Current CPR & BLS certifications.
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license for travel to clinics.
  • Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
