Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance duties, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling machines.
  • Operate heavy equipment and control attachments such as blades, buckets, and swing booms.
  • Discuss plans for the day's work with the field manager and review blueprints if necessary.
  • Determine the best method of getting assigned work done safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Make judgments regarding the most efficient operations of equipment and attachments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including equipment repair/maintenance procedures and operator safety standards.
  • Prioritize safety with the 'Home Safe Tonight' and related policies.

Requirements:

  • Excavator Operator experience.
  • Dozer Operator experience.
  • Forklift Operator experience.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Norfolk, Virginia with 10-hour shifts, M-F with some Saturdays, Day and Night Shifts.
