Predictive Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a Predictive Modeling Specialist to join our Worldwide Capacity Planning team at Amazon. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced predictive models to forecast demand and optimize capacity.
About the Team
Our team is responsible for optimizing capacity across operations sites to minimize customer wait time and route customers to the associate who can best resolve their issue, on the first contact. We build forecasting models and optimization tools that help predict the hourly capacity requirement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced predictive models using econometrics, statistics, machine learning, and analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with data engineering and software engineering teams to integrate predictive models with existing systems.
- Analyze business problems and identify opportunities for improvement using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Communicate technical solutions to research scientists, engineering teams, and business audiences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in predictive modeling and capacity planning.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent Master's Degree plus 5+ years of experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Economics, or related field.
- Expertise in Time Series Modeling and/or Predictive Modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with Network Analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children.
