Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at AirPro Diagnostics/Nationwide Parts. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing general cost accounting and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
  • Reconcile bank accounts throughout the month, verify deposits.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Limited filing of tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  • Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Calculate and report sales tax.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
  • 5 years of related experience.
