Job Summary

Presbyterian Home for CNY seeks a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of residents to and from various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate facility transportation vehicles, prioritizing safety and defensive driving techniques.
  2. Report to the Transportation Team Leader and maintain accurate records.
  3. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring safe destination and arrival.
  4. Interpret driving directions to plan efficient routes and initiate route changes as needed.
  5. Provide transportation for special functions and appointments, as requested.
  6. Fuel and clean vehicles as assigned.
  7. Respond to accidents or medical emergencies, notifying designated parties as necessary.
  8. Maintain up-to-date records and notify the Team Leader of any vehicle problems.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Team Leader or Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Valid/clean New York state driver's license in good standing
  • NYSDMV drivers abstract

Physical Demands:

Stands, bends, drives, and walks most of the day, with good eye sight to ensure safe navigation of fleet vehicles.
