We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Aerial Splicer to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing fiber optic telecommunications cabling related to FTTH deployment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fiber optic telecommunications cabling related to FTTH deployment projects
  • Aerial and drop splicing
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment to hand bury fiber cabling in customers' yards
  • Operate equipment and machinery to deploy FTTH drops in residential neighborhoods
  • Refer to provided maps to locate fiber network points of interest
  • Perform general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid standard U.S. driver's license required
  • Must live within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC
  • Aerial Cable Drop experience a plus
  • Able to operate large trucks and/or machinery
  • Experience using a variety of tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call as needed
