Residential Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive living environment for our clients, while also facilitating their personal growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to address clients' unique needs and goals.
- Monitor clients' physical and behavioral health, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervisor or program manager.
- Assist with household chores, meal preparation, and laundry, while maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities with clients.
- Participate in mandatory training and in-service programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in the human services field.
- Physical Management Training (PMT) and First Aid, CPR, and Medication Certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and community partners.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients, while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor.
