Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Interventional Radiology department at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will assist interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and other physicians in performing minimally invasive and invasive fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of complex vascular and non-vascular procedures, including cardiovascular and neurological interventions.
  • Prepare the sterile field, scrub, and circulate during procedures.
  • Manage image archives and document procedures for supply management, billing, and procedural documentation.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, clinical nurses, and CVTs on all aspects of procedures.
  • Participate in the training of less senior Radiologic Technologists and students.
Requirements
  • CDHP Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy permit within 90 days of hire.
  • ARRT Post Primary Pathway Certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography and/or Cardiac Interventional Radiography within one year of hire.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in a Special Procedure Radiology Setting.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and calls.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 2 years in a Special Procedure Radiology Setting.
  • Knowledge and practice of hemodynamic monitoring, pressures wave forms, EKG, and radiology imaging.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working in more than one specialized radiology setting.
  • Bilingual.
Licenses and Certifications
  • CRT.
  • BLS.
  • ACLS.
