Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Michael Page. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing various aspects of corporate accounting and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Present financial data to management for decision-making, identifying trends and areas for cost savings.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee general ledger maintenance and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Account Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze account variances, providing explanations and insights to management.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with departments to gather data and assess financial performance.
  • Cost Savings: Identify trends and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Financial Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights for strategic planning.
  • Presentations: Present analysis findings to stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and lead internal and external audit processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Accounting Policies: Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial operations.
  • Industry Experience: Manufacturing, Distribution, or CPG experience.
  • Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
