Advanced Data Science Leadership Position in Autonomous Vehicle Safety

Cruise is a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, and we're seeking an experienced Senior Data Science Manager to join our AV Performance Data Science team.
This role will involve working directly with stakeholders, including executive leadership, Safety & Systems partners, Autonomous Vehicle engineers, product managers, and operations teams. As a Senior Data Science Manager, you will be responsible for growing and developing a team of data scientists and analysts, setting the safety metrics strategy for Cruise, improving machine learning models and metrics, and driving Data Science standard methodologies within your team.
To succeed in this position, you will need a Master's or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, as well as 3+ years of experience managing multiple high-output teams in Data Science and Analytics. You should also have advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as experience in ML or Data Science working on metrics, experimentation, and analytics.
Our ideal candidate will be creative, resourceful, and enthusiastic about seeking new solutions to problems and opportunities. They will also have experience advising leadership at the director, VP, and CTO level on Data-driven decision making.
Benefits include a competitive salary range of $171,400 - $252,000, depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, and a 401(k) matching program.
