Position Overview

The Ambulatory Care Nurse Infusion is a critical role within our organization, responsible for providing exceptional patient care through the administration and monitoring of infusion therapy services. This position works collaboratively with practice management and the Clinical Supervisor to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients and their families, including administration and monitoring of infusion therapy services.
  • Collaborate with practice management and the Clinical Supervisor to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in patient care services.
  • Perform duties within the scope of practice, ensuring consistency with hospital and WakeMed Physician Practices policies and procedures, standards of care, standing orders, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Adhere to practice standards governed by all applicable state, federal, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • 3 years of nursing experience in a related area, with 3 years of clinical infusion therapy experience preferred.
  • 3 years of oncology experience preferred.
  • Graduate nursing degree required, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure required, with Certified Registered Nurse Intravenous and Oncology Certified Nurse certifications preferred.

Work Schedule

  • (3) 8-hour shifts per week, with a schedule of 8am-4:30pm.
  • No weekend requirements.
  • No call requirements.
