Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Artifacts, Registry, and Automations Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing systems that power artifact management, model versioning, and workflow automation.

You will have the opportunity to influence the development of W&B's emerging products, such as the Registry and Automations. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and real-world customers, you will design impactful features that directly shape the future of machine learning tools.

Your work will directly affect user experiences, streamlining artifact management across both cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance features for Weights & Biases' flagship products, ensuring scalable and efficient management of ML workflows and model lifecycle tracking.
  • Spearhead the development of cutting-edge tools that enable seamless model integration, versioning, and deployment in production environments.
  • Work hand-in-hand with product managers, engineering teams, and customers to build robust infrastructure that tackles real-world ML challenges head-on.
  • Contribute to code reviews, provide technical leadership in discussions, and mentor junior engineers to uphold our commitment to coding excellence and best practices.
  • Champion a user-first approach by integrating customer feedback into product improvements that deliver measurable value.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and knowledge of at least 1 modern programming language (Python, Go, Typescript, GraphQL, etc).
  • Strong empathy for ML practitioners with a keen interest in understanding and addressing their challenges.
  • A desire to be self-driven and find the path to greatest impact.
