Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Provider Engagement Account Manager role should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field with a strong academic record.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managed care or healthcare relationship management, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret provider contracts.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive approach to identifying and addressing longstanding gaps in care delivery for Black and Brown populations, demonstrating self-motivation and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with proficiency in presenting complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders, including team members and partners. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with business leaders and external partners.
  • Team Culture: Strong ethical standards, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset, with a desire to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

The Provider Engagement Account Manager will report directly to the SVP of Provider Relations and Contracting, working closely with the local leadership team. This role is pivotal in providing strategic insights, organizational skills, and data-driven analysis to guide decision-making in alignment with CINQCARE's objectives. The successful candidate will embody CINQCARE's core values: Trust, Empathy, Commitment, Humility, Creativity, and Community Focus.

This position is designed to foster and expand relationships with key contracted providers, acting as a vital link between the local market and essential healthcare partners. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing relationship management expertise to expand the CINQCARE ACO REACH and IPA networks by onboarding additional local providers in line with budgetary goals.
  • Collaboratively establishing goals and objectives for each key account based on specific product lines (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, ACO REACH).
  • Planning, executing, and managing account strategies and initiatives in partnership with CINQCARE and key providers.
  • Providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving key account issues promptly.
  • Facilitating Joint Operating Committee Meetings.
  • Ensuring alignment of CINQCARE's internal resources with key account goals and advising leadership on areas for enhancement.
  • Conducting market research and assessing competitor activities and market positioning.
  • Formulating strategies to outpace competitors.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of organizational offerings and services.
  • Delivering valuable insights on industry trends, government initiatives, and innovative practices.
  • Keeping accurate records of key account contacts.
  • Coordinating team efforts to drive Health Home and payer membership growth.
  • Ensuring satisfaction among key accounts.
  • Meeting or exceeding individual key account financial objectives.
  • Performing additional job-related duties as assigned.

Leadership and Strategy

The Provider Engagement Account Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Leadership: Defining and executing strategies that create business value, including building a team to develop and implement these strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: Establishing business strategies aimed at improving outcomes for CINQCARE members, enhancing the effectiveness of other business divisions, and identifying external market opportunities for CINQCARE products and services.
  • Collaboration: Ensuring a cohesive offering by working closely with other business divisions to understand their needs and define solutions that meet CINQCARE's objectives.
  • Expertise: Providing specialized knowledge in account management solutions, including approaches for provider engagement, relationship management, and performance evaluation.
  • Work Culture: Fostering a productive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment for the Provider Network team and the broader organization.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work in a standard office environment, characterized by controlled air, artificial lighting, and an open workspace. Effective communication with customers, vendors, management, and colleagues is essential, often involving interactions with individuals who may be distressed. Regular use of telecommunication and email is necessary, along with the ability to sit for extended periods. The role may require occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs and proficiency in using common office equipment.
