Job Description

At Hogan Transportation, we are seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing required Body Shop repairs and fundamental fleet maintenance repairs on Hogan tractor and truck equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair damaged equipment and perform fundamental maintenance repairs to restore equipment to its original state.
  • Paint vehicles to company standards.
  • Perform safe and meaningful welding practices, including aluminum.
  • Install and remove decals as necessary.
  • Identify parts and systems for repair and replace or repair as appropriate.
  • Remove broken parts and replace with new or reconditioned parts.
  • Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
  • Raise equipment using hydraulic jacks.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain general trailer structural and suspension systems.
  • Maintain accurate, updated maintenance records.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of apprenticeship (Journeyman) or 4 years of experience in Truck/Trailer Body shop repair.
  • CDL License, Class A or B (or obtain within a specified timeframe after employment).
  • Experience in Fiberglass repair to repair vehicles to company standards.
  • EPA License (as appropriate).
  • High school education or GED.
  • In-depth knowledge of all hand, air, and power tools required for this industry.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures.
  • Clean MVR.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
