Wine Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Wine Associate to join our team at Gold Standard Enterprises, Inc. Our wine department is the Midwest's largest retailer of fine wines, spirits, beers, and cigars, offering competitive pricing and exceptional customer service.
As a Wine Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in developing sales and providing exemplary assistance to customers. You will continue to develop your knowledge of wine and other store products, working as part of a team to keep the wine department and store organized and effectively merchandised.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers in selecting fine wines and other products
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of wine varietals, countries, and regions
- Providing exceptional customer service and driving sales
- Working effectively with the wine team to maintain a well-organized and merchandised wine department
Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of wine varietals, countries, and regions
- Ability to taste wines in a professional manner
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong desire to provide superior customer service
- Previous retail experience, experience in the wine and spirits industry, or hospitality industry preferred
