Job Overview

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Energy Storage program team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the implementation and management of incentive awards issued under the Residential and Retail Commercial Energy Storage programs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage contracts under the Residential and Retail Commercial Energy Storage programs.
  • Review and approve incentive applications, execute award letters, assignments, project modifications, and extension requests.
  • Assist in the development and organization of Standard Operating Procedures for Energy Storage incentive programs.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including contractors, and provide information-gathering and stakeholder webinars.
  • Execute reports and queries in Salesforce and NYSERDA internal databases to respond to internal and external stakeholder data requests.
  • Demonstrate respect, equity, and inclusive behavior and practices of a diverse workforce and community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Environmental Science, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience in project management, solar development, or energy storage.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Program Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and Salesforce.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information.
