Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Engagement Manager to join our Community Planning and Engagement Department. This role will be responsible for providing entry points and serving as a connector to adults with a desire for more engagement in Jewish life, thereby aiding in the identification of future community leaders. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communications, and networking skills, with proficiency in the English language. They will be able to build strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders, and will have a deep understanding of the Cincinnati Jewish community and its needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run monthly convenings of young adult engagers at partner agencies to facilitate cross-collaboration, identify gaps in programming, and strategize for the community.
• Organize and manage annual leadership 8-month development program, LEAD, which empowers and develops current and future volunteer leaders.
• Run young adult missions to Israel, which may include Birthright, Honeymoon Israel, and others.
• Act as a concierge/connector, meeting one-on-one with Jewish adults new to Cincinnati, recent college graduates, and unaffiliated community members.
• Support the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) on projects as needed.
• Serve as a liaison of the Jewish community between agencies and organizations.
• Support young adult programming at partner agencies through attending and recruitment.
• Create educational opportunities to connect Jewish young adults to Israeli culture through educational, cultural, and philanthropic programs.
• Partner with leading local, national, and global organizations in the young adult space to develop and foster mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at creating a more robust Jewish community for young adults in Cincinnati.
• Serve in a leadership staff role on cross-department initiatives as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably with experience in engagement or fundraising, and/or significant involvement in the Jewish community or specialized experience, degree, or certification in Jewish communal leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and networking skills, with proficiency in the English language.
• Team-building skills for fostering internal and external collaboration are a necessity.
• Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
• Demonstrated ability to set goals, tasks, timetables, and manage workflow.
• Must be organized, detailed, and have the ability to multi-task on several ongoing projects or programs.
• Knowledge of the Cincinnati Jewish community with strong ties to young adults.
• Must be committed to the mission of The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and have a knowledge of Jewish customs and practices.
• Proficiency in implementing strategic initiatives, managing/coordinate presentations, budgets, projects, events, volunteer engagements.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work productively on multiple projects with volunteer committees and staff.
• Flexibility for taking part in early-morning meetings, evening, and weekend meetings and events is required.
• $54,000-$58,000 based on experience.
