Job Overview

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is seeking a skilled Wig and Hair Supervisor to lead our wig and hair team in mounting OSF shows. This is a seasonal position that requires a strong understanding of theatrical wig and hair techniques, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise wig and hair employees, ensuring they understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Wardrobe and Hair Manager to ensure the overall function and maintenance of all wigs and facial hair.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure the highest quality of wig and hair designs.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of wig and hair employees, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the wig and hair department, including maintaining a safe and anti-racist working environment.

Requirements:

  • Three years of professional theatrical wig run crew experience and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of costume periods, safe work practices, and understanding repertory calendars.
  • Proficient in quick-change choreography, building solutions.
