We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team at Silgan Containers Mfg Corp. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, performing various tasks to support plant operations, and assisting with maintenance and repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform janitorial duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the can line, end line, office areas, restrooms, and cafeteria.
- Assist with plant maintenance tasks as directed, including repairs and troubleshooting.
- Relieve breaks for other positions as needed, such as the Palletizer Operator and End Line Equipment Operator.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days, nights, weekends, and required overtime.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull 50 pounds, and stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
