Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Lead Teacher to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in children.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement activities that promote socialization, creativity, and physical activity.
  • Communicate effectively with families and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and a smooth learning experience.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education credentials or equivalent preferred.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in early childhood education, preferably with children up to 12 years old.
  • NC Credentials EDU 119 or equivalent required; BSAC training for school-age children required; CPR/First Aid certification within 2 months of hire.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality when necessary.
