Job Title: Van Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to join our team at The Lodge at Bridgemill, a professionally managed active adult community in Canton, GA.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate a shuttle bus, transporting residents to various destinations, including grocery stores, shopping trips, appointments, and planned events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport residents to and from appointments and activities
  • Operate and maintain the bus in a safe and legal manner
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting the bus and operating the wheelchair lift, as needed
  • Maintain daily trip logs, detailing mileage and gas
  • Report any vehicle accidents or resident injuries to the Manager immediately
  • Transport the van to the repair shop for oil changes and necessary repairs
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and have it serviced at the appropriate time
  • Assist the Activities Coordinator with scheduled events and parties
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Education or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience driving large vehicles, trucks, or school buses
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid CDL Driver's License preferred but not required
  • Clean driving record and demonstrates sound judgment and good safety habits
  • Knowledge of traffic regulations
  • Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people and to solve problems involving residents, personnel, emergency situations, etc.
