Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Piedmont Ear Nose & Throat Associates. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical providers in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts and exam rooms for appointments, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care, including vital sign measurements, patient interviews, and documentation of patient information.
  • Schedule additional tests and procedures as directed by medical providers.
  • Provide patient education on aftercare plans, including medication instructions and therapy regimens.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records, capturing patient concerns, vital signs, and information obtained from history and physical exams.
  • Minimize risk to patients, coworkers, and self by using personal protective equipment, checking equipment for safety, and observing all safety precautions.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and privacy by complying with HIPAA provisions and protocols.
  • Contribute to a patient-centered teamwork environment by becoming cross-trained in duties of other staff members and filling in for others as directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved medical assisting program and CMA/RMA certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Patient service orientation.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • Safety-conscious and OSHA compliance.
  • Coding knowledge (CPT, ICD, etc.).
  • Computer skills.
  • Phone skills.
