Foundation Health Partners is seeking a dedicated full-time Cardiac Sonography Specialist to enhance our Cardiology department. Located in a vibrant community, this role offers a chance to immerse yourself in a blend of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and hold national certification as a RDCS from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or RVS from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. This role involves executing specified procedures in alignment with established departmental and facility protocols.

This position is committed to delivering exceptional care to our patient population. Foundation Health Partners is eager to welcome a Cardiac Sonography Specialist to our Cardiology team.

Compensation & Benefits:

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute procedures by adhering to and confirming orders from referring providers. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned methodologies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding the procedures and treatments being performed. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, fostering teamwork and ensuring quality patient outcomes.
  • Capture high-quality imaging and prepare/present these images along with relevant patient information for prompt interpretation. Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing designated invasive/interventional procedures as applicable, following established policies.
  • Conduct and assess equipment quality control measures. Troubleshoot issues and notify appropriate personnel to ensure optimal equipment performance. Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work-related information.
  • Ensure efficient workflow within the department. Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies to prevent service interruptions.

All functions must be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Qualifications

Candidates must possess national certification in their specialty area from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. New graduates are required to obtain certification within 12 months of hire. BLS certification is also mandatory.

This role necessitates clinical expertise typically acquired through 1-2 years of experience. Candidates should exhibit effective communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to analyze data and resolve issues. Foundation Health Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital environment. Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in the specialty area within the past year is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in echocardiography imaging or vascular imaging is preferred, along with additional related education and/or experience.
