Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration and Scheduling: Register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Clinical Support: Assist clinical staff with various tasks, such as preparing patients for exams, obtaining medical histories, and performing other administrative duties as needed.
- Financial Management: Collect patient responsibility balances, prepare financial estimates, and communicate with patients regarding their financial obligations.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, both verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Certification: Healthcare-related certification (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Terminology, Coding) preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting or 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
