We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals who require complex medical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care that is consistent with organizational philosophy, goals, and policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience in an acute care setting.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; Critical Care Certification and TCAR Certification eligible.
This is a full-time position working night shifts, with a standard schedule of 36 hours per week. The ICU team at Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a dynamic and supportive environment that values teamwork and professional growth.
