We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. As a NICU RN, you will provide exceptional care to critically ill newborns and their families, utilizing the principles of the nursing process to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to neonates and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in neonatal care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in NICU nursing, with a strong focus on neonatal resuscitation and critical care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
This is a full-time position, working nights in the NICU. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively in a high-stress environment, with frequent exposure to critical and emergency situations. The position requires strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift and move patients as needed.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $65.80 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement savings.
