Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our engineering design practice, you will apply your electrical engineering expertise to support our expanding water and wastewater treatment practices for industrial and municipal sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply electrical engineering skills to develop and review technical approaches, detailed electrical designs, and system controls.
  • Scope, schedule, and budget requirements for process engineering projects, including estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and topographical maps to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements.
  • Perform site visits, conceptual and detailed designs, technical analysis, and review of project requirements.
  • Review and prepare technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Develop work plans, evaluate data, and write reports.
  • Manage written document production and operate computer-assisted engineering or design software.
  • Direct multi-disciplinary project teams and take task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing, and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in electrical engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on the design phase for water and wastewater engineering projects.
  • Strong background in industrial equipment, electrical motors and drives, power distribution, building service and wiring, and process controls/automation.
  • Experience with process instrumentation and controls systems, single line diagrams, and network diagrams.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, NFPA) and Federal and State regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
