About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our data centers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, lighting, and fire suppression systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, installation instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to specify and procure electrical equipment and materials.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Develop and implement electrical system testing and commissioning procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design and development, with a focus on data centers and commercial electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, IBC, and OSHA.
  • Experience with electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
