Patient Access Specialist Job Description

Ensemble Health Partners, a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions, is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist to join their team.

This role is responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate medical necessity checks, and providing excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Process physician orders and utilize an overlay tool
  • Operate the telephone switchboard and relay incoming/outgoing and inter-office calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service with compassion


Requirements:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire
