Environmental Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to join our team at Find Great People | FGP. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the environmental safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental site assessments and investigations to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Collect and analyze environmental samples to determine the presence of hazardous substances.
  • Develop and implement environmental remediation plans to mitigate the effects of hazardous substances.
  • Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on environmental best practices and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification.
  • North Carolina certifications as an Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Air Monitor (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and overnight as needed.
