The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Technician II to join our team. As a Field Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network equipment and circuits. This includes fiber optic transport equipment, critical infrastructure, and other telecommunications systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot network equipment and remove/replace defective equipment as needed.
  • Proactively identify potential problem areas to ensure the integrity of the network and company.
  • Assist other personnel to complete these activities when needed.
  • Install and test network and customer equipment, including installation and delivery of all end-user services.
  • Perform level 1 preventive scheduled maintenance and inspections on network and critical infrastructure equipment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience working with installation, test, and turn-up of a variety of telecommunications equipment.
  • Strong technical and mechanical background with experience on the latest generation transport gear and critical infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of locating fiber optic cable, right-of-way, and As-Builts.
  • Ability to quickly learn corporate databases and software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
