Solventum is a leading company in the healthcare industry, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our team as Industrial Engineer Interns. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including manufacturing process improvement, label and industrial problem solving, and cross-functional team leadership.

About the Role

This is a temporary position within Solventum, and interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment during the summer. The position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot various manufacturing issues in dealing with label and industrial problems, identify causes and implement solutions throughout the entire manufacturing workflow.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve industrial and labelling processes and equipment.
  • Process labeling and industrial change control documentation per standard procedures.
  • Document per GMP practices and Regulatory standards. This may include validations, technical reports, nonconforming product reports, corrective and preventative actions, etc.
  • Lead/Support Continuous Improvement Projects to identify improvement opportunities for cost, service, inventory and execute improvement plans
  • Support new product introductions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • AND
  • In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
    • Experience with bio-medical, mechanical and chemical engineering course work and internship experience considered
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
    • Pursuing a master's degree in bio-medical, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering from an accredited institution
    • Excellent communications skills (oral, written and presentation)
    • Microsoft Office proficient, CAD a distinct plus
