Position Title: Assistant Project Manager Intern


Position Summary: The Assistant Project Manager Intern plays a crucial role in supporting both Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers across various projects. This position focuses on providing direct assistance in construction activities related to assigned projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, adaptability, and emotional intelligence, preparing them for comprehensive project management responsibilities including design, estimation, billing, execution, change management, and project closeout. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and a process-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the review and execution of contracts.
  • Establish financial and operational objectives within company software.
  • Review, schedule, and analyze project milestones as directed.
  • Set up and manage the submittal log, including review, corrections, and distribution to relevant personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely distribution of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and requests for information to clients and team members.
  • Support efforts related to change management.
  • Facilitate prompt estimating, particularly for project changes or work outside the original project scope.
  • Oversee project closeout processes, including the creation of maintenance and operation manuals and other necessary documentation.
  • Organize and categorize project-related materials efficiently.
  • Adhere to established timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the project manager and team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Technical proficiency with computers and email, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Openness to learning new software applications.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Previous experience in sales is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. Actively pursuing an associate degree or higher in a field relevant to construction.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and lift up to 15 pounds as needed.


Candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and may be subject to a background check.
