Division Overview

Crown's Beverage Division is a leading manufacturer of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas. We lead the industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. Our aluminum cans offer a large printable surface area, a wide range of sizes, shapes, and decorating options, making them the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence.

Job Summary

The Front End Maintainer will work closely with supervision to ensure optimum levels of manufacturing production. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical aptitude, ability to read and write, and previous experience with mechanical and computer skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or with a team, and effective leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Able to read and write, particularly letters and numbers.
  • Candidate must successfully pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment and computer.
  • Previous mechanical experience and ability to adjust machines to maintain quality to customer specifications.
  • Knowledge of can operation and ability to judge quality of can.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain good safety procedures.
  • Follow all JHA's and SOP's.
  • Proven ability to maintain an excellent Absenteeism and Tardiness Record.
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision.
  • Exhibited self-motivation to maintain correct process.
  • Basic Hand Tools required to start job and obtain other required tools within 3 months after qualification period concludes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds manually using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to keep work area orderly in keeping with 6S principles.
Requirements
  • High School Education/GED.
  • 2-3 year(s) experience with computer skills in inspecting, testing, packaging, and high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
