Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Wells Fargo. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production stability across the organization through strong incident and problem management routines, implementation of robust observability/monitoring, and employing SRE principles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology infrastructure engineering and solutions, with experience working in an Agile team environment. They will be able to work independently and as a member of a high-performance team, with excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for leading complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications, participating in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure, and evaluating internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and analyzing high-impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future, designing, building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third-party vendors, and making decisions in technical designs, implementation plans, and identifying project risks and resource requirements.

Additionally, the Lead Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for directing the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards to ensure success, recommending courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results, and collaborating and consulting with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of critical issues and be able to bring appropriate resolution to complex issues, with excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.
