Job Title: Medical Staff Associate

Join LFB USA, Inc. as a Medical Staff Associate and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of plasma donors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting screening procedures, determining donor eligibility, and providing counseling to donors regarding unacceptable test results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screening and Eligibility: Conduct thorough screening procedures, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and arm checks, to determine donor eligibility.
  • Donor Counseling: Provide counseling to donors regarding unacceptable test results and educate them on donation risks, informed consent, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Donation Process: Initiate and assist in donor investigations regarding post-donation information and evaluate and attend to donor adverse events during the donation process.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year work experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Actively licensed or certified in the state where performing duties: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, or Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to read and interpret directions and instructions, perform basic math calculations, and basic computer skills.
