Position Overview

This full-time remote position for a Tax Resolution Attorney at Moskowitz LLP involves supporting the managing attorney in overseeing associate attorneys and additional staff. The Tax Resolution Attorney will deliver expert legal advice on tax planning, estate planning, and various tax law matters. Responsibilities include representing clients in tax disputes and controversies while formulating effective tax planning strategies.

Key Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in tax resolution, including collection matters, audits, and appeals; candidates with a background in high-volume practices will be prioritized.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities; management experience is highly valued.
  • Experience with the United States Tax Court.
  • Proven representation before tax authorities such as the Franchise Tax Board, CDTFA, and EDD.
  • Strong foundation in Tax Law.
  • Thorough understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in the Bar.
