Pet Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are looking for an Animal Care Attendant to join our team at Bow Chicka Wow Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our furry friends. This role involves sanitizing/disinfecting pet enclosures and general boarding areas, ensuring clean bedding, food, and water for all pets. You will also monitor and accurately chart consumption and elimination of every pet guest, bringing concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager. Additionally, you may be required to supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests, assist with bathing and brushing of canine guests, check and pick up excrement from enclosures, and perform daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.
- Sanitizes/disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas.
- Provides clean bedding, food, and water for all pets.
- Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet guest.
- Supervises group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests.
- Assists with bathing and brushing of canine guests.
- Cleanliness of living areas and premises.
Requirements:
- Pet fanatic – pets are part of our family.
- Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred.
- Displays a professional manner at all times.
- Entry Level role. High school/College/Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.
Compensation & Benefits: Our competitive salary range is $15.90-$16.50 per hour (DOE). In addition to our comprehensive compensation package, we offer Part-Time Health Insurance, Part-Time Mental Health, and Part-Time Telehealth benefits.
