Job Summary:
Kemper is seeking an experienced Auto Field Appraiser to investigate, evaluate, and appraise damaged automobiles in the Los Angeles/Koreatown, CA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in formal and on-the-job training to stay up-to-date with new repair techniques and procedures.
- Examine vehicle damage in the field, at drive-in locations, or at service centers, and prepare accurate written appraisals to determine the extent of damage.
- Negotiate repair prices with repair facilities and secure agreed prices for repairs.
- Maintain a list of company-approved part suppliers and use these firms to control the cost of repairs and ensure quality work.
- Negotiate settlements in a timely manner and ensure equitable and fair payment of physical damage losses within authority granted.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- 3 years of field appraiser experience or 3-5 years of auto repair/body shop experience required.
- Strong customer service experience required.
- Good computer skills and planning and organizing skills required.
- Ability to effectively deal with conflict.
Benefits:
This is a remote position with a hiring range of $48,700.00 to $83,000.00 per year. Kemper offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, and more.
