Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Security Installation Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a critical part of our team, you will work onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and program security systems, including dismantling and reconstructing equipment as required.
  • Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and loss of unused materials.
  • Communicate with customers prior to installation to verify schedules and provide estimates.
  • Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
  • Test system operation to ensure proper establishment of service.
  • Read and interpret building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required.
  • Coordinate installations with police and fire departments and handle necessary records for emergency calls.
  • May lead installation teams on larger projects and coach less experienced installers.
  • Travel required, using company-provided vehicle and equipment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some technical school training is a plus.
  • Electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Certification.
  • Access Control certifications.
  • CCTV certifications.
  • Experience bending conduit.
