Nurse Supervisor Hospital RN- PRN

Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assume leadership role in ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
- Conduct regular assessments of departments to ensure continuity of care and report pertinent information to management and administration.
- Communicate effectively with staff to address unusual occurrences or complaints and intervene promptly when necessary.
- Ensure nursing staff performs patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Monitor and document medical records, including documentation of medical necessity, and ensure timely completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
- Review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes to continually improve performance and outcomes.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on Quality Indicators and ensure timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring.
Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited by The Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality and CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
Requirements- Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
