Job Title: Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics to join our team at The Pennsylvania State University. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized, integrated Extension-research program on agricultural risk management and agricultural finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a research program on agricultural risk management and agricultural finance
  • Conduct extension activities to disseminate research findings to stakeholders
  • Secure external funding to support research and extension activities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural economics
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the department's mission and goals

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or related field
  • Experience in research, extension, and competing for grants on agricultural economics topics
  • Excellent quantitative and communication skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
